I did try with arrowroot and wasn't happy with the texture so didn't include is as a substitute. However, it was kind of ok. If you can't use cornstarch and are used to the texture of sauces etc with arrowroot instead then it will probably be ok. Unfortunately I don't remember the quantities I used when I tested it though. It does vary a bit form cornstarch sometimes. Maybe go with the same and if it's too thin, cook for longer or add a little arrowroot milk slurry to thicken it more. Hope that helps!
